Vladimir Goloukhov finished Gnessin Russian Academy of Music in 1992. His specialisation - percussion instruments in the simphonic orchestra.
He was working in Mark Pekarsky orchestra for some years. In 1985 he played with Ravvi Shankar in Kremlin Palace of Congresses.
In 1990 he received an invitation in the Contemporary Music Ensemble under the patronage of Edison Denisov. During the six years of its existence the ensemble has become a recognized band, traveled half the world and recorded dozens of disks. This was the beginning of cooperation with Edison Denisov. In 1993 there was the premiere of Denisov's concert with participation of the Lucerne Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Rudolf Baumgartner. It was a concert for vibraphone, flute and piano.
He was first performer, who played MALLET KAT instrument in Russia. He experiments in different music styles, from folk and academic avant-garde to the new jazz, trance, fusion, ambient. Issued a series of records. He is the best vibraphonist in Russia according to number of surveys.
In late 2010, organized his own group Pervoe Solnce.
Author of music for:
the intro of "Time" TV news and a number of commercials on the TV channel ORT;
the intro of "What? Where? When?" TV show;
the film "Baikal seals" by request GREENPEACE (2001);
the film "It happens" (RTR, 2008).
